I had an amazing stay at a charming modernized country cottage near Mere. the location was incredibly convenient, especially being close to the A303, yet you wouldn't even realize it. the cottage itself was beautifully presented and impeccably clean. the renovation was clearly well, thought, out and done with great taste. I especially loved the stunning garden, with its well, cared, for wildflower meadow and breathtaking sunsets. the kitchen was a highlight, as it was fully equipped and showcased the clever use of drawers instead of cupboards. We enjoyed the nearby fish and chip shop as well as a lovely pub/restaurant within easy walking distance. I even got to relax in a hammock under the shade of a cherry tree. This gem of a cottage made my stay unforgettable, and I was sad to leave. Cons: Not one thing! 😊.
